About Dandelion the Puffy Cheeks
An inquisitive grasshopper could not understand why a dandelion has a chubby face and a thin stalk. With his excessive interest, he scared the dandelion, which began to call doctors and complain to its appearance. A dilemma appeared after medical advice a doctor gave. The dandelion did not know that its fears were groundless and would soon dispell.
Directed by Alla Hrachova, Dandelion the Puffy Cheeks leans on a strong ensemble — Liudmyla Ihnatenko, Heorhii Kysliuk, Boryslav Brondukov — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about animation titles of 1971.
