The Last Holidays

The story is about two teenage brothers and their mother. All three of them are very fond of each other. But the younger Danilka is a gifted artist going through a "creative crisis", and the older Boris is trying to convince his mother that he is an adult and capable of making independent decisions.

Directed by Valeri Kremnyov, The Last Holidays leans on a strong ensemble — Alexander Vdovin, Aleksei Udovik, Maya Bulgakova — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about family titles of 1969.
