The film tells the story of Sıtkı Bey, who lives a different life during the day and at night. Sıtkı Bey, who owns a typing course, is a quiet and cold man who is not interested in women. This attitude also affects his students. However, Sıtkı Bey takes on a different character at night. He does not remember what he does at night during the day. Due to his nocturnal escapades, he gains many enemies. When his escapades become known, the typing course will also be in danger.

Directed by Nejat Saydam, Acemi Çapkın leans on a strong ensemble — İzzet Günay, Tijen Par, Sunay Uslu — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about romance titles of 1964.
