Zeki, a poor musician, is forced to sell his oud. At that moment, he meets a woman named Nermin who works in the shop. With the help of his teacher, Zeki finds a job in a saz ensemble. With Nermin's help, he joins the night. However, a pasha's daughter named Semra causes Zeki to leave the saz ensemble. When he returns, Zeki finds solace in Nermin and falls in love with her.
Directed by Arşavir Alyanak, Son Beste leans on a strong ensemble — Zeki Müren, Belgin Doruk, Behzat Haki Butak — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about romance titles of 1955.
