Junge Lust

The story is about young Ferdinand discussing with his father his future career choices. Various suggestions are put to him - hairdresser, work at a record shop, florist, heating engineer - and each time Ferdinand's mind wanders off, imagining himself working at the job and, more importantly, satisfying his female clients.

Directed by Pit Brinkmann, Junge Lust leans on a strong ensemble — Jutta Eimann, Regula Mertens, Sylvia Routier — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 1979.
