About Journey into April
A journalism student Kostik is travelling, by river steamer, to the place of his internship in the village of Lower Lazureny, but by mistake he goes ashore at Upper Lazureny. While Kostika is trying to get out of the village and get to his destination, wonderful adventures happen.
Directed by Vadim Derbenyov, Journey into April leans on a strong ensemble — Aleksandr Zbruev, Rayisa Nedashkivska, Yulian Florya — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 1964.
