About An Essence of Wind
Dhammariya is a bhikkhu who lives in a temple far away from cities. One day, he finds a meditator's cell phone which was left in a guest room. Dhammariya falls into the urge of using it to contact his family. This incident leads him back to his past and makes him unstable as he is attached to the cell phone.
Directed by Aldo Swastia, An Essence of Wind leans on a strong ensemble — Aditya Jaya, Sha Ine Febriyanti, Kanatski — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about documentary titles of 2010.
