About Cici Katibem
The lawyer she works for fires her because she is not beautiful. She starts working at the company owned by Cemil and Fikret, who are partners. However, when Cemil and Fikret discuss her flaws among themselves, Ruhsar overhears them. When they go on a business trip to Izmir, Ruhsar takes care of herself. Upon this, Cemil and Fikret try to get close to Ruhsar. However, Ruhsar does not give them the time of day. To confront her bosses with their insults, Ruhsar will play a trick on them.
Directed by Arşavir Alyanak, Cici Katibem leans on a strong ensemble — Orhan Günşiray, Fatma Girik, Suphi Kaner — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 1960.
