Children Of The Wild

Many cultures have myths about “wolf children”, taken from their families and who grew up in the wild, either alone or with wolves, bears or other animals. How close are these stories to reality? This program looks at the "monkey boy " John Ssebunya of Uganda, and Kipling's fictional boy, Mowgli.

Directed by Jens Monath, Children Of The Wild leans on a strong ensemble — Rufus Beck, Shubham Lohar, Deepak Shukla — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about documentary titles of 2017.
