About I Have the Wallet
After failing in his studies, Atoua turns to pickpocket. He meets his classmate Shukri, who is now the manager of a food company, he promises to find him a job but Atoua feels that he's lying. He steals his wallet and finds documents implicating Shukri and other people in embezzlement cases.
Directed by Mohamed Abdelaziz, I Have the Wallet leans on a strong ensemble — Adel Emam, Samir Sabri, Omar Al-Hariri — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 1978.
