In Perugia, Luca, a lawyer investigates mysterious facts that happened in the city and even got emotionally involved. The rather complicated cases are those of a jealous murderess girl, of a surgeon who kills a colleague who had helped him to face a dangerous intervention to become a woman, of a plumber who is suspected of murdering an heiress while the real guilty is the nephew who would like to take possession of a huge fortune.
Directed by Fabrizio Laurenti, The Blonde in Black leans on a strong ensemble — Gioele Dix, Florinda Bolkan, Carlo Cartier — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about mystery titles of 1993.
