Renata, Nilza and Paula arrive in the big city in search of better opportunities and in an Argentinian casino they meet Adelino, the owner. Loren and Misaki leaves and Adelino rents a mansion with the intention of attracting millionaires to marry them with the girls. They know some men and the girls manage to get married, apparently resolving the group's financial problems. In order to help Adelino, the newlyweds decide to set up a matrimonial agency.
Directed by Ary Fernandes, As Vigaristas do Sexo leans on a strong ensemble — Vanessa Alves, Felipe Levy, Ruy Leal — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 1982.
