About Intime Liebschaften
The writer Gellert catches Sybill, a striptease dancer and show onanist, at a sex cinema and hires her as a pleasure girl for his parties, where she has to influence business partners such as critics, publishers, bankers, etc. in Gellert's favor. There is a scandal when Daniela, the wife of the banker Vollmer, rushes off indignantly because she has no desire to watch her husband with Sybill. Another guest, the respected publisher Lutz, is the only one who does not make use of Sybill's charms, but arranges to meet her in private because he has caught fire for her.
Directed by Hans Billian, Intime Liebschaften leans on a strong ensemble — Christine Klinger, Klaus Reinhold, Petra Dyrthen — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 1981.
