About Sara & Fei: Stadhuis Schandaal
Fei, a student, who was on duty in the old city of Batavia, was visited by a Dutch-Japanese girl named Sara, who lived at the beginning of the 17th century, precisely in 1628 when Governor General Jan Pieterzoon Coen took office. One day after returning from Shanghai, Fei continued his duties. It was at the Fatahi building that Sara appeared again and without realizing it, Fei was taken through a time tunnel back to the 17th century.
Directed by Adisurya Abdy, Sara & Fei: Stadhuis Schandaal leans on a strong ensemble — Amanda Rigby, Tara Adia, Volland Humonggio — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2018.
