Spaden

Solveig tries to return a borrowed spade to his friend Berit. This will lead to a settlement between the two women who have roots far back in time and is about a man who Berit then wanted but as Solveig took away from her.

Directed by Jens Jonsson, Spaden leans on a strong ensemble — Gunilla Nyroos, Marie Göranzon — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2003.
