Pölhölä

Masochists are in for a treat when Spede Productions' most vulgar folk farce hits the screen. Created by no fewer than three first-time directors, the film tells the story of the village of Pölhölä, "where people are even more foolish than in Hölmölä."

Directed by Heikki Kinnunen, Taavi Kassila, Pertti Reponen, Pölhölä leans on a strong ensemble — Heikki Kinnunen, Aake Kalliala, Helge Herala — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
