










Ula, a young girl from a small town in Poland is kidnapped and taken to a brothel in Germany. Luckily she manages to escape and return home. However, the welcome she receives is far from warm, as the girl is ostracised by the local, conservative community.
Directed by Magdalena Łazarkiewicz, Back Home leans on a strong ensemble — Sandra Drzymalska, Agnieszka Warchulska, Mirosław Kropielnicki — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2018.
