Computron 22

Luca, a young boy of eleven, lives with his grandfather in a majestic house in Rome. Learning that his mother, whom he believed to be dead, now lives in Argentina, he goes to look for his portable computer, Toto.

Directed by Giuliano Carnimeo, Computron 22 leans on a strong ensemble — Lolo García, Gabriele Ferzetti, Fiorenza Marchegiani — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about science fiction titles of 1988.
