Claudius is a journalist who loses his job and is in love with Dorte. Her father refuses to give his consent until Claudius finds a suitable job with a good salary. And then a lot happens! At breakneck speed and with insane obstacles - where, among others, the Danish-American Miss Thomson - with African masks and tomato cocktails as her specialty - plays a decisive role. Of course, everything turns out for the best - and Claudius gets his Dorte.
Directed by Sven Methling, Når enden er go' leans on a strong ensemble — Ove Sprogøe, Ebbe Langberg, Birgitte Reimer — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 1964.
