What follows is a tale of cruelty, depravity and lies -- the very building blocks of love.
Directed by Luis Buñuel, That Obscure Object of Desire leans on a strong ensemble — Fernando Rey, Carole Bouquet, Ángela Molina — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 1977.
