A House in the Clouds

As the accomplished and independent flight attendant for the Olympic Airways, Elli Makri, returns to Athens after a long-stay visit in London, her mind is consumed by brief but uncomfortable flashbacks. Sooner or later, Elli will strike up an acquaintance with the charming airline pilot-in-command, Telis Exarchos, who desperately wants to have an affair with her; however, there's definitely something that gets in the way. Could it be the notorious philanderer's reputation, or is there a dark secret hidden behind Elli's melancholic eyes?

Directed by Dimis Dadiras, A House in the Clouds leans on a strong ensemble — Nikos Galanos, Eleni Erimou, Marina Haritou — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 1978.
