La dona del segle

Consuelo Deulofeu is a young orphan who faces an enormous amount of difficulties, while investigating whether she is the daughter of a famous painter and her gypsy muse. While finding out her identity, she discovers that she is a gypsy and rebels against a fate dictated by society. When, thanks to confusion, she manages to work in El Siglo warehouses, a great love will be born.

Directed by Sílvia Quer, La dona del segle leans on a strong ensemble — Nora Navas, Àlex Monner, Bruna Cusí — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2018.
