About Ölünceye Kadar
The film tells the story of a man seeking revenge on a friend who betrayed him. Kartal's sister Oya's honor is violated by Kartal's closest friend. Kartal tracks down his friend to settle the score. As his friend flees from Kartal, he is struck by a train and loses his life. However, Kartal swears to avenge his sister. Therefore, he will attempt to seduce the sister of the friend who betrayed him.
Directed by Ertem Eğilmez, Ölünceye Kadar leans on a strong ensemble — Kartal Tibet, Selda Alkor, Semiramis Pekkan — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 1967.
