Vazgeç Gönlüm

The film tells the story of a man whose life changes because of his brother's mistakes. Orhan is a car mechanic. Orhan, who wants to help his brother Hakan start a business, takes on a large amount of debt. Hakan, who wants to get rich quickly, ruins the business. As a result, Orhan goes to work outside the city to pay off the debt. Meanwhile, a relationship begins between Hakan and Pınar, whom Orhan loves but cannot confess his feelings to. When Orhan returns, even bigger problems await him that need to be resolved.

Directed by Osman F. Seden, Vazgeç Gönlüm leans on a strong ensemble — Orhan Gencebay, Canan Perver, Yalçın Gülhan — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 1980.
