Kemal commits murder because of a blood feud and spends a long time in prison. When he is released from prison, Kemal, who is now a young man, spends some time looking for work. One night, he helps Recep, who is attacked by a group of men. Recep, a casino owner, is fighting against the mafia. Kemal accepts Recep's job offer and begins working for him. When Recep is killed by his rivals, Kemal takes over the business. However, Osman, the mafia boss who killed Recep, begins looking for an opportunity to eliminate Kemal.
Directed by Tunç Başaran, Ben Böyle Doğdum leans on a strong ensemble — Tanju Korel, Feri Cansel, Süleyman Turan — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about adventure titles of 1973.
