About Initiation to the Boarding School
This film was forbidden for release in theatres because of the incest scene (the model is above18yo). It is the third episode from the serie La pension Birch, the first one being Déculottez-vous mesdemoiselles, the second one being La pension … des fesses nues. Directed by Francis Leroi but after the bankruptcy of the distributor Diaphilms Pierre Unia appropriates the film which explains that his name is on the onscreen credits of the VHS release.
Directed by Francis Leroi, Initiation to the Boarding School leans on a strong ensemble — Lise Pinson, Sophie Guers, Nathalie Lhermite — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 1980.
