1920. Western countries are trying to use the Bukhara khanate — a former protectorate of tsarist Russia — to fight the Soviet regime. Arrived in Tashkent by M. V. Frunze and V. V. Kuibyshev to organize the masses to fight counter-revolutionaries and agents of foreign intelligence services.
Directed by Latif Faiziyev, Vladimir Basov, The Crash of the Emirate leans on a strong ensemble — Evgeniy Samoylov, Vladimir Krasnopolskiy, Georgiy Yumatov — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about adventure titles of 1955.
