Seventeen and a half years old Zhang Junjia wants to impress a girl by making a zombie movie for the schools art festival. Together with his best friend and some classmates he starts shooting the film, but all beginnings are difficult.
Directed by Yao Xue, Seventeen and a Half Years Old leans on a strong ensemble — Liang Zhenlun, Wang Xinting, Liu Di — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
