About Il ritorno del Monnezza
Rocky Giraldi, son of police officer Nico, followed in his father's footsteps and is now an agent in the police force's operational departments. He is currently working on a seemingly straightforward case: the murder of a burglar. In reality, behind the crime lies a dangerous network of drug dealers involved in money laundering, which also includes an important law enforcement official whom the man knows well.
Directed by Carlo Vanzina, Il ritorno del Monnezza leans on a strong ensemble — Claudio Amendola, Enzo Salvi, Elisabetta Rocchetti — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 2005.
