The Impossible Love

Calin Surupaceanu is a simple boy, convinced by the engineer Dan to accompany him in building a new city. Along the way, he meets his future wife and subsequently source of unrest and rebellion against fate. The movie is based on a novel by Marin Preda called "The Intruder".

Directed by Constantin Vaeni, The Impossible Love leans on a strong ensemble — Şerban Ionescu, Amza Pellea, Tora Vasilescu — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 1984.
