About The Road to Rübezahl
The German anti-fascist Max in 1939 emigrated to the USSR. During the Great Patriotic War, he fought in the Soviet partisan detachment and died, performing a responsible mission. After many years, her companion in guerrilla warfare, Lyudmila, was able to realize their common dream — to climb to the top of Mount Rübezahl.
Directed by Adolf Bergunker, The Road to Rübezahl leans on a strong ensemble — Aurimas Babkauskas, Lyubov Rumyantseva, Aleksey Eybozhenko — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 1971.
