Kəklikotu

An uncle and his nephew travel to the capital to sell fruits and vegetables. On the way, they sell a sack of “thyme” that was meant for someone else. It turns out the sack didn’t actually contain thyme. Escaping from the owner of this deposit — worth millions — turns out to be a complicated matter.

Directed by Vugar Islamzadeh, Jafar Akhundzade, Kəklikotu leans on a strong ensemble — Müşfiq Şahverdiyev, Islam Mehraliyev, Nigar Jamal — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 2017.
