Edelweiss Hotel

Alex is a millionaire who wants to be a billionaire. To achieve this goal, he embarks on a risky adventure. At once, he learns about a hotel in the mountains, which allegedly contains a huge amount of gold. The businessman comes up with a simple plan to arrive at the scene, make friends with the owner of the hotel, enchant his daughter, marry her, and become those who will eventually get all the gold. This flawless plan turned out to have several weaknesses. Other adventurers know about the gold, and the daughter of the hotel owner is engaged.

Directed by Yurii Rudyi, Edelweiss Hotel leans on a strong ensemble — Serhii Komarovskyi, Hanna Kuzina, Vasyl Virastiuk — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 2019.
