A movie is being filmed in a deserted hotel, and a young actor is taking part in it. His big dream is to play Hamlet. Every day, his difficult personality causes problems, and so one day, after many warnings, the film's producer fires him. Desperate, he hangs himself from the hotel balcony to commit suicide. A young woman happens to be there and convinces him not to end his life. The young actor falls madly in love with the woman, who is a writer, but unfortunately for him, she is engaged...
Directed by Pavlos Filippou, Luffas...Tufts...Loves... leans on a strong ensemble — Stamatis Gardelis, Teta Douzou, Popi Montanari — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 1988.
