About Lady Plastic
Special effects makeup artist Inoue Jun meets up-and-coming actress Yamaguchi Rina while filming a movie. Rina is soon cast in the lead role of world-renowned director Akagi Hiroaki's new film, "Eyes of the Forest." However, although filming began 30 years ago, production was suddenly canceled and the project was sealed away by those involved, deemed a curse. Soon, a series of mysterious incidents begin to occur among those involved with the film.
Directed by Gen Takahashi, Lady Plastic leans on a strong ensemble — Tomoya Shiroishi, Rena Komine, Daisuke Nagakura — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about horror titles of 2001.
