About Assault of the Killer Bimbos
Two go-go dancers, Lulu and Peaches, are framed for the murder of their employer by the real killer, sleazy gangster Vinnie. Picking up waitress Darlene along the way, the three are involved in wild car chases with cops as they head south to cross the border into Mexico, where they unexpectedly encounter Vinnie in a fleabag Mexican motel.
Directed by Anita Rosenberg, Assault of the Killer Bimbos leans on a strong ensemble — Elizabeth Kaitan, Christina Whitaker, Tammara Souza — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about action titles of 1988.
