Zone of Death

Taking advantage of the holiday, Yu Shengnan, a female professor at the Medical University, came to Guanghua Relief Society to see a doctor for the poor. Zhong Lang, the inspector of the patrol room, came here to visit Shengnan, and met Shengnan who had helped him back then.

Directed by Xu Wei, Billy Tang, Zone of Death leans on a strong ensemble — Wallace Chung Hon-Leung, Ashton Chen Xiaolong, Qi Fang — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about action titles of 2009.
