
After restaurateur Sam Wong dies in a telephone booth after making a call, law clerk Elaine Choi is tasked with executing his will. In order for the will to be valid, it needs to be signed by its recipients, but Choi finds that each of them are reluctant to do so.
Directed by Leong Po-Chih, Ping Pong leans on a strong ensemble — Lucy Sheen, David Yip, Robert Lee — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about mystery titles of 1987.
