About Devi
It's an adaptation and deconstruction of an age old classic, 'DEVDAS', by the great Bengali writer Sharatchandra Chattopadhyay. In this film the gender of the main characters has been reversed and all of them are placed in twenty-first century.
Directed by Rick Basu, Devi leans on a strong ensemble — Paoli Dam, Shataf Figar, Rima Guhathakurta — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2017.
