The deserts have frozen. The North and South poles are melting. Under the sea the evil robots have carried out an enormous slaughter. The mastermind of it all, evil Lady Control, makes a grave threat: "The children of the world are forbidden from playing with toys, laughing, fun and affection". The world is lost! The only hope is three brave friends. They're not warriors and they don't have weapons. But, they know how to blow up balloons and make people laugh.
Directed by Imanol Zinkunegi, Pailazokeriak leans on a strong ensemble — Xabier Otaegi, Jose Ignazio Ansorena, Kontxu Odriozola — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about family titles of 2005.
