About Nujum Pa' Blalang
Pak Belalang and his son who conspire to portray the latter as an astrologer in an attempt to help out fellow villagers in trouble. Convinced by his actions, the Penghulu (Mayor) brings him to the royal palace to help solve a robbery but the situation turns complicated when their lies began unravelling.
Directed by P. Ramlee, Nujum Pa' Blalang leans on a strong ensemble — P. Ramlee, Bat Latiff, Hashimah Yon — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 1959.
