The government and the army are convinced that they have been kidnapped by aliens and Professor Larsen, an eminent astrophysicist and UFO expert, is assigned to lead an urgent investigative mission into the deserted town.
Directed by Jean-Michel Roux, The Thousand Wonders of the Universe leans on a strong ensemble — Tchéky Karyo, Maria de Medeiros, Julie Delpy — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
