Tsu Feh Sofiah

Tsu Feh, a Chinese female doctor, converted to Islam and changed her name to Sofiah. After opening her clinic, she took a vacation to an island, far from busy life. But she was very disappointed to know that the island once thought to be harmonious when its villagers often quarreled among themselves.

Directed by Rahim Razali, Tsu Feh Sofiah leans on a strong ensemble — Eman Manan, Rahim Razali, Jacqueline Mitchell — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 1986.
