About the beach house
A young girl and boy meet in one of the northern coastal cities of Iran and soon fall in love with each other. Due to the opposition of those around them, they are separated. Later, the boy finds the girl in one of the southern cities, who has started a new life with another man. He, who is a broken man, goes to his death.
Directed by Amir Houshang Kavousi, the beach house leans on a strong ensemble — Kamyab Kasravi, Nasrin Safayi, Hossein Jahangiri — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 1969.
