About Babamın Namusu
Reşit Ağa wants to distribute his inheritance because he is getting old. He decides to divide his property between his only child, Şahabettin, and his nephews. However, he first wants his nephews to change in certain ways. He appoints his son Şahabettin as an observer to monitor this change. But soon after, Reşit Ağa has an accident and is forced to change his plans.
Directed by Aram Gülyüz, Babamın Namusu leans on a strong ensemble — Sadri Alışık, Bülent Kayabaş, Sevda Ferdağ — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about romance titles of 1986.
