Genesis

In this art film, we follow the lives of three room-mates, over a period of seven days. JP, Ginger and Steve are young men who are all in some respect running away from life. One day, they meet a disabled gay author, who forces them to rediscover themselves and those around them.

Directed by Kenneth Scicluna, Genesis leans on a strong ensemble — Engelbert Grech, Jean Pierre Magro, Khaled Reyani — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 2001.
