About The Last Joke
Serdar, a radio host known for his prank calls, resorts to a "high-production" prank when proposing to his girlfriend Ayşen. Ayşen does not immediately accept the proposal. Moreover, the prank has seriously upset her. In order for her to forgive Serdar, they must go on vacation together. During this trip, which Ayşen insists on taking with their mutual friend Yusuf, the trio finds themselves in the middle of a complicated adventure.
Directed by Muhammet Erkam Bülbül, The Last Joke leans on a strong ensemble — Serdar Gökalp, Ege Kökenli, Bülent Alkış — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 2020.
