The Sorceress

A man who lives in an old big house with his mother alone proposes to an actress. She agrees and they get marries but little by little, she begins to notice strange things happening in the house and becomes suspicious.

Directed by Davood Mir-Bagheri, The Sorceress leans on a strong ensemble — Vishka Asayesh, Enayat Bakhshi, Sirous Gorjestani — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about horror titles of 1998.
