A new Thai ensemble film features three short episodes about teen romance and teen pregnancy. In all three, high school girls have unplanned sex and get pregnant, and the stories involve their handling of the problem. It’s a romantic comedy rather than a cinematic lecture on one of Thailand’s social issues.
Directed by Intira Jaroenpura, Chakorn Chaiprecha, Anuchit Muanprom, Pairach Khumwan, Pass Patthanakumjon, Maythus Chaichayanont, Love, Not Yet leans on a strong ensemble — Arissara Lemuan, Napassorn Aemchareon, Chintara Sukapatana — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about romance titles of 2011.
