El-Arafa

The events of the film revolve around the university student (Samia Abu Al-Saad), who is arrested because of her political activities. During her imprisonment, (Samia) gets to know a police officer named (Magdy), who hides her in his house, and when the head of intelligence finds out what (Magdy) is doing with this girl He calls his father and warns him not to interfere in what does not concern him. She is transferred to the prison hospital, but she succeeds in escaping again.

Directed by Atef Salem, El-Arafa leans on a strong ensemble — Omar Khorsheid, Madiha Kamel, Madiha Yousri — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about romance titles of 1981.
